Mae Adams has spent nine years serving the Huntsville market for ServisFirst Bank, where she is a vice president and private banking officer. According to a profile published May 27, 2026, by the Huntsville Business Journal, she manages one of the bank's largest private banking portfolios and leads a support team of four.

Adams also holds several community leadership positions. She is the 2026 chair of the Huntsville-Madison County Public Library Foundation Board, and she serves on both the HudsonAlpha Professional Advisors Committee and the Huntsville Hospital Development Council. She is a graduate of Leadership Greater Huntsville Connect-25 and is currently taking part in Management Academy 16.

Her volunteer work extends beyond the library board. Through Leadership Greater Huntsville, Adams is part of a small group project aimed at improving the office of the WEDC Foundation. She said both efforts matter because raising awareness of these services, and enriching and improving them, "makes our community and the people in it better."

Asked what she values most about living and working in the city, Adams pointed to its variety of personalities, cultures, professions and opportunities. In her view, that diversity helps make Huntsville well rounded, with an art and entertainment scene, space and defense industries, local shops and family-friendly places.

Looking back, Adams said she would tell her 22-year-old self to take the job at ServisFirst Bank a year sooner than she did. Opportunities sometimes pull a person away from the original plan, she noted, and it pays to stay open to learning and growing in new ways. "The beauty of life is in the unexpected joys," she said.

Away from the office, Adams enjoys time with family and friends, travel and reading. She likes being outdoors, whether hiking or going for walks, and also pursues creative hobbies such as needlepoint and crafting with her children.

Adams said she has had many good professional mentors, but she credits her daughters, Eleanor and Vivian, as the biggest influence on her career. They push her to keep striving to be the best version of herself, she said, and she wants them to know that "the sky is the limit" for their futures.

Adams and her husband, Josh, are raising the two girls in Huntsville, a community the family proudly calls home.
