Trinity Catholic volleyball advanced to the Class 2A state final on Nov. 3 by defeating Saint Andrews at Polk State College in Winter Haven. The Celtics, who entered the match as the No. 1 seed, outlasted the No. 4 seed Scots with a final score of 25-12, 25-17, 22-25, 25-13. The win extends Trinity Catholic's season record to 25-5 and secures a spot in the championship match scheduled for Nov. 4.

The team has reached this stage of the tournament twice before under head coach Jeff Reavis. Reavis led the Celtics to state titles in 2018 and 2020. The current roster is ranked No. 9 in the state across all classifications, a ranking that places them ahead of several higher-seeded teams in other brackets.

Saint Andrews, based in Boca Raton, dropped to a 19-8 record with the loss. The Scots had previously eliminated their opponents to reach the semifinal round, but fell to Trinity Catholic's serving pressure and defensive consistency in the fourth set.

Trinity Catholic will face Northside Christian in the state final. The Mustangs, the No. 2 seed, defeated Westminster Christian, the No. 3 seed, earlier in the tournament. Northside Christian won that match with scores of 26-28, 25-21, 25-16, and 25-20. The Mustangs improved their overall record to 27-5 and hold the No. 15 ranking in the state.

The championship match is set for Nov. 4, one day after the semifinal conclusion. Trinity Catholic will attempt to claim a third state championship in program history. The Celtics have not won a state title since 2020, a span that includes two seasons where they failed to reach the final round.

Jeff Reavis, the veteran head coach, will oversee the preparation for the title game. The team will rest in Winter Haven before moving to the venue for the Nov. 4 contest. No further scheduling changes were announced following the semifinal result.
