The 2027 model year brings substantial changes to the full-size pickup segment.

Five major manufacturers are releasing new or updated trucks, with two receiving complete overhauls and three receiving meaningful revisions. Edmunds compiled the key specifications and pricing for these vehicles, noting that all listed costs include destination charges. The Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and the GMC Sierra 1500 are the two fully redesigned entries in this group.

Chevrolet has refreshed the Silverado 1500 with new engines and technology. The powertrain lineup includes a 5.7-liter V-8 producing 402 horsepower and a 6.6-liter V-8 delivering 481 horsepower. A 350-horsepower turbocharged four-cylinder and a 305-horsepower six-cylinder diesel are also available. The truck can tow up to 13,700 pounds and carry a payload of 2,340 pounds. The interior features up to 60 inches of screen space. The starting price for the new Silverado is $41,395.

Ford is updating the F-150 with a new standard turbocharged 3.0-liter V-6 engine. Ford states the new engine delivers peak torque sooner than the previous 2.7-liter unit, improving acceleration from a stop. The optional 5.0-liter V-8 is now more widely available across trims. Ford is also launching a lower-priced version of the Tremor and Raptor off-road models. A new F-150 Carhartt trim introduces rugged interior materials. The BlueCruise hands-free driving system now functions while towing. The estimated starting price for the F-150 is $40,500.

The redesigned GMC Sierra 1500 shares its platform and powertrains with the Silverado but offers slightly lower towing and payload capacities. It is positioned as a premium option with unique exterior design. The truck offers a three-screen dashboard setup with a 12.2-inch driver display, a 16.3-inch center screen, and an 11.5-inch passenger screen. An optional Multi-Flex center console can be configured as a flat work surface. The starting price for the Sierra is $51,295.

Ram introduces two new versions of the 1500. The Rumble Bee focuses on on-road performance with a wide-body design and a supercharged 6.2-liter V-8 producing 777 horsepower. Ram cites a top speed of 170 mph for the SRT Rumble Bee. The SRT TRX returns with the same 777-horsepower engine, a reworked suspension, and a plusher interior. The starting price for the Ram 1500 is $45,370.

Toyota sharpens the styling of the Tundra for 2027 and adds a new Honeycomb color to the TRD Pro. The brand launches a new Trailhunter model designed for overlanding. This version includes all-terrain tires, tuned suspension, and underbody skid plates. The Tundra also debuts a next-generation infotainment system with a standard 14-inch touchscreen. The estimated starting price is $44,000.
