The Los Angeles Rams played their worst first half in franchise history before outscoring the Chargers 21-0 in the second half. The home team turned a 9-3 deficit into a 24-9 victory at SoFi Stadium on Sunday, snapping a seven-game losing streak in the local rivalry.

The Rams offense stalled for the first 15 plays of the contest. The unit gained just 24 yards and failed to secure a single first down on its first five drives, a mark that stood as the worst start in the career of head coach Sean McVay. The team did not cross the fifty-yard line until it trailed by six points in the waning moments of the first half.

Quentin Lake picked off a short Justin Herbert pass and returned it 45 yards to set up the Rams' only points in the first half. Herbert, who has thrown an interception in all seven of his games this season, passed for 257 yards. The Chargers, returning from a bye week, extended their start to the worst since 2000.

The tide shifted when Tutu Atwell caught a 40-yard completion that moved the chains. Kyren Williams ran the ball into the end zone with 19 seconds remaining in the first half to narrow the gap. The Rams struck again immediately after the break, with Blake Corum rushing for 55 yards on a single drive before scoring on a 23-yard run.

Puka Nacua caught an 18-yard touchdown pass late in the third quarter. Nacua finished with 11 receptions for 80 yards and a score. Matthew Stafford completed passes for 157 yards and a touchdown for the Rams, who reached the .500 mark with the win.

The Chargers' offense under Mike McDaniel produced 295 total yards but could not sustain drives. McDaniel retained play-calling duties despite the team's winless record. The Bolts remained the only undefeated team in the National Football League after falling to 0-7.

The Rams have won two of the three meetings since both teams moved to Los Angeles a decade ago. The Chargers will look to reverse their season when they return to action next week.
