The Los Angeles Chargers are now 0-7 after a 24-9 loss to the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday at SoFi Stadium. The defeat marks the team's seventh straight loss and their tenth loss dating back to the end of the previous season.

Quarterback Justin Herbert finished with 257 passing yards and two interceptions. Those two picks are his ninth and tenth of the season, the most in the National Football League. Herbert has not led a touchdown drive in nine consecutive quarters. The last time the Chargers scored a rushing touchdown before this streak was on Oct. 11, when running back Kimani Vidal ran for 42 yards against the Denver Broncos.

The Chargers' offense managed only three field goals from kicker Cameron Dicker. The team scored zero points after halftime. Los Angeles has been outscored 83 to 54 in second halves this season. In the fourth quarter alone, the Chargers have been outscored by a margin of 63 to 13.

Coach Jim Harbaugh said the team failed to finish drives with touchdowns and lost control during the middle eight minutes of the game. He noted that the Rams scored on their final pre-halftime drive and on the first possession of the second half. Harbaugh confirmed that offensive coordinator Mike McDaniel will continue to call plays. McDaniel was unavailable for a post-game interview and is scheduled to meet with reporters on Thursday.

Herbert said the loss was difficult for the entire group. He expressed concern for the defense and the team as a whole. Harbaugh described the squad as highly motivated and dedicated to correcting their issues through film study and daily work. He emphasized that the players are the only ones who can change the outcome.

The Chargers face the Houston Texans at SoFi Stadium next Sunday. They will then travel to play the Baltimore Ravens on Nov. 16. The team returns home to host the New York Jets on Nov. 22. The NFL trade deadline is set for Nov. 10.

Outside linebacker Khalil Mack addressed potential trade rumors before the deadline. The 13-year veteran said he focuses on his current position rather than external speculation. He defended Herbert, calling him a brother and saying he has his back through the ups and downs.
