Prime Video released a teaser on Friday for the upcoming two-part docuseries Melania. The trailer sets the stage for a November 20 premiere and marks the return of the former first lady to the screen since her earlier theatrical release.
The new footage centers on the role of motherhood rather than high-level diplomacy. In the clip, the former first lady identifies her son Barron as her primary focus. She describes the honor of serving in the White House as an immediate call to action for the American people.
The series derives its material from bonus footage captured by director Brett Ratner. These scenes were recorded in the days following the second inauguration of President Donald Trump. The producers indicate that the second episode, titled Pride & Honor, will explore these personal dynamics in detail.
The release follows a specific commercial path for the franchise. The original Melania film previously screened in theaters, where it collected approximately $16.6 million in ticket sales. Amazon secured a $75 million agreement to bring the project to its platform, which included two additional episodes of archival material not shown in cinemas.
The production team for the follow-up includes Amazon MGM Studios, Muse Films, New Element Media, and RatPac Entertainment. Melania Trump and Marc Beckman serve as executive producers. Ratner directs the project alongside producer Fernando Sulichin, continuing his involvement from the initial feature film.
